A small progress is still progress -  Pasheer and the Lost Middle World Project

Going back and forth again, if I wanted to make this Horse head concept an actual puppet or a 3dprinted sculpture. But considering that I've only done one finished creature sculpture that is 3dprinted, why not make it another statue?

As I am fighting with my own inner critic, and going back and forth, here is how it looks so far

My inner critic often told me that, I've always been treated in an art scene as an afterthought. That someone would intentionally leave me out for a reason because I wasn't good enough.

And here is the thing, I don't have to prove to anyone my worth, that my next artwork should never been ashamed if the 'quality' is not as good as before. It just means that I wasn't practicing enough in one area, not a reflection of being 'lazy'.

At least that's what I told to my inner critic.

The Fear of having Longer Project

I'd say, I do have trouble keeping up with longer project because I have the fear of being perceived " I am taking it way too long", when those people whos said so was seeing it in the lens of a production time; I do believe a skillset to build a certain project and working within certain production time are two separate skills that can overlap.

I've been picking up knitting lately, and it does make me realize that it's okay to just make an art and crafts because you want to do it, not so that you want to make a business/make a whole production of it; A project can stay a project. Because I'm knitting a lot lately, I feel like I am more accepting at moving forward on a project no matter how small, because knitting can take time and it should take time!

And thus, I am slowly making my way to continue this sculpture below

I think from now and onwards, sometimes I'll make shorter blog post so that I can focus on the art-making, but not so much on the writing.

Thank you for reading and I'll see you on the next one!
